It’s been a year now since I’ve started this rattling on, self-absorbed ramblings about not very much. Happy Birthday Blog!

Some choice self-realisation (discovery is too grand a word) this year. I have a Thyroid body type (useless fact, will eat chocolate forever), I am a mildy Romantic FOMO-Fear of Missing Out (embarrasing fact that I don’t know I can do anything about), I can REALLY SHOP  (frightening fact that I know I can do very little about) and, most importantly….after 39 years of being a teetotaler…I ACTUALLY quite LIKE TO DRINK (petrifying fact that I can do nothing about)…Vodka (and Cognac, Wine, Champagne, Baileys, Rum, Amaretto…).

I’m striking this silly pose for my dearest friend who gave me these gloves -little did I know it would mark my surrender to Useless Husband’s plans for the rest of the afternoon of wading through some serious mud, escaping a few potentially difficult dogs,  negotiating some steep slopes and scaling down a ladder in someone’s back yard.

It’s just as well I’m mad about him (and maybe with him for 10 seconds). OK. I had a ‘nourishing’ hot Latte Amaretto and profiterole ice cream afterwards.

So thank you to the wonderful people in my life who’ve put up with me…and the shopping, drinking, eating and snoring. Stick around, come back next year, it’ll be fun. Promise!

P.S: I managed to squeeze in buying featured coat, on sale no less, just before my birthday (eve) dinner….it’s been a busy year.

P.P.S: Re items mentioned in Large Overn Calorie Bomb Series. Winter boots, tick (four pairs in fact, the last purchase squeezed in post Christmas pre-birthday, it’s been a truly busy year); PETA disapproved 70’s waistcoat check (post Crimbo, pre-birthday find while husband was nursing a hangover, it’s been a rather busy year for him too). And add one Ushanka bearing USSR emblem pin.

P.P.P.S: Hence, am going into 2016 bankrupt, condemned by vegetarians and blacklisted as a supporter of a totalitarian dictatorship. It’s going to be a very busy year!
