(Not so) Grand Designs: old condo in Chiang Mai

Blurry Sunday morning before another long drive back to Mae Sot. Tired and now unimpressed with state of the building before our eyes. Thank God for the nice little coffee shop down the road, not a wasted trip after all. We who would have thought that a few months later, this little 80 sq meter was going to be our Grand Designs come true. Please excuse the overused jargon which will be applied sparingly-it does have “good bones” and comes with the added fun of being able to strip it quite a bit to make something personal.  And did I mention the nice little coffee shop down the road? Never mind the 1980’s excuse for a lobby, dodgy elevator and pool left to lie fallow…here is a pictorial evolution of our little pad in CM. Watch this space…
