So I live in Mae Sot, described as “not like Thailand” by some local Thais. I see their point when half the population are from Myanmar, 20 minutes across the border. A half-awake little town that’s moved on to having a large Tesco and Makro and now a much anticipated Robinson. But you know things are moving up when another 7-11 opens up.
